Baja 1000 TripTagger

Baja 1000 is near! The famous off-road desert race will be held in just a few days. The 2015 edition is a so-called loop-race that will start and finish in Ensenada, Baja California (northern half of the Baja peninsula). This is about 90 miles south of San Diego or an approximate 2 hour drive. “Taggero” our app mascot, and a few of our team members will be spending a few days there pre-running sections of the route with friends and testing out our trip-tagger app.

While our app is NOT a tracking device of any kind, the main function is to automatically record drives, show the cost per trip and calculate tax refund values, the app also has a “recreational” feature. You can save the route taken and mail it, or instantly share it with friends so they can find their way to your location. We call these “trip cards”.

You can also play back your drives with Trip Taggers animation feature. We are testing the coming days the functionality of our app in a more remote environment as Baja and the available providers. For Baja racing asociado’s is in particular the trip-cards feature of interest. It may be an helpful addition for chase crews to find a location or the route to go there.

The trip-tagger does function in combination or stand-alone with the joined network or available wifi hotspots in reach. We encourage you to downlaod the Trip-Tagger App for free. The Android version at Google Play or for iOS at the App Store The app has a very small resource footprint, less as for example the Facebook app. The usage is free, unlimited and the app is ad-free!

We do wish all #Baja1000 visitors, crew members and racers a safe week pre-running and a successful race event. Feel free to approach us if you see our truck with the logo and have any questions about the app or plain and simple just to say hello.
